It was nice that this unit came with 10 additional disposable filters. The filters are very thin, but have a narrow peel off sticker boarder to keep them securely in place. The manual also stated to just turn the unit on and it would sense the air and run accordingly. I haven't touched the unit after at least a week. It just cycles on and off intermittently. "I bought this product specifically to remove cigar smoke while I am in my man cave/ garage. A heated 20X30 area with high ceilings. My first use was a little less than expected. I placed the unit up on a shelf about 7 feet high and about 5 feet from where I was smoking and watching TV. While it definitely cut down on the amount of smoke AND the smell after smoking, it was less than ready to keep the area clear WHILE I smoked. I called customer support about how the charcoal filter was installed and about placement of the unit. They were very nice and helpful but stated that the unit should be as close as possible to me while smoking in order to remove most of the cigar smoke.
