"So we have now owend our BreatheSmart for about 2 months. My wife and I couldn't be happier. We live in a high rise building and have about 1200sq ft. We have placed the unit in such a way that it can pull the air from both large rooms at the same time. We noticed after only a few days how the amount of dust on the furniture diminished . My wife and I also had been having nose congestion and blowing our noses to no end for a few months, we think because of the dust. After about a week, no more sneezing, and after about 3 weeks, no more congestion. We have the unit running 24hours a day. I do notice in the early morning hours that the status light does go to blue, lowest setting, so I know that the sensor is definitely working. You do need to make sure to check and clean the PREFILTER about every 10 days , depending upon your situation. I just take a Dustbuster type vacuum and clean it in about 3 minutes. This is a MUST. I also invested in the better filter to capture more particles like mold, just to be sure. No, we don't have mold, already tested for that. It was worth it to me. After spending this much for the system, another $50 for a better filter was a no-brainer. Don't skimp on the heart of the system, the filter. No, its not overly noisy. If you want it to work, then it has to make some noise. If it really bothers you then take it off of automatic and drop the speed down a notch. "I bought the Rabbit Air MinusA2 based on extensive research on my part as to the best air purifier for cigarette smoke. I have only had it a week but I must say that it does the job. My husband who is a non smoker says he does not smell any smoke whatsoever. It seems to be removing cooking odors as well. I previously had an Idlys air purifier which was quite good but the filters were costly and had to be changed about every 4 months. I replaced it with the new Idlys model which was supposed to be more powerful and it was terrible. It was only effective on the very highest speed and it was so loud that it made my ears ring. The auto mode didn't work at all. I returned it to the place of purchase and decided to buy the Rabbit. The Rabbit is very quiet even on the highest speed. It is very effective on removing smoke odors. There are 4 different filters (germ defense, pet allergy, toxin absorber, odor remover) to choose from so you can customize your Rabbit to your needs. This model covers up to 700 sq ft. The room I have it in is about 400 sq ft. It is a bit pricey at $500. but it works so I think it is worth it. The filters cost about $85 per year. I have only had it a week so time will tell if they last that long or not. If they do that is quite a savings compared to the Idlys which cost me about $250. per year. This model can also be mounted on the wall if you like. I did not mount it on the wall. It really doesn't take up much space and I wanted the flexibility to move it around if I wanted." - Patty
