“Overall, this is a wonderful mask! I love anything with charcoal as it is a marvelous purifying agent. And they don’t skimp on product. The jar was filled literally to the brim. You do not need very much of the mask. It has the consistency of a very thick moisturizer. It smooths on cleanly and doesn’t have any grit to it. There is kaolin clay but again, the texture is so easy to smooth on. I left the mask on for roughly 10-15 minutes the first time and even with sensitive skin, there was no ill effects. It worked great on my aging skin and my teen daughter’s acne-prone skin. We saw clarification and moisturizing. I did use a dark washcloth for taking it off. Charcoal products will stain and make a big mess of light colored fabric. I do wish there was a scoop or brush as that would have made the mask easier to take out of the jar.
